It's been almost 6 months since I last updated and the reason I'm here blogging again because I don't wanna drag too long to blog about this. and yes, my Korea trip 3 months back :) I'm gonna write down all the details as much as possible and so in the future I could still read back all this beautiful memories.
This is probably the first officially trip with boyfriend after together for more than 5 years. pretty sad right ): even though we been to bkk and malaysia etc but never just the two of us so yeaaa I was so damn excited about this and I spend some times doing itinerary. both of us got zero clue about korea, the map and everything. but Im glad with some of our friends' help and of course, google, we made a book for it! :) Got the best deal for air tickets and find a good hotel and here we gooooo! As I was quite picky, I didn't want to stay in guest house and then hotel was too expensive. So I was quite lucky to find a guest house which have the design and facilities just like hotel!
Day 1, 21st August
I guess we only had like 2 hours of sleep? And we made our way to airport at 6am. Flight was at 8.40am or something, can't remember it. We had breakfast at Macdonald and spam quite a lot of photos ha ha ha
and yea that's the book I'm talking about. Thanks boyfriend still specially went to print it out in hard paper and make it as a book haha
and thanks sister for sending us! initially sister wanted to go but then she went to Australia 2 months back and thus cancel this korea trip with us ):
probably my first time taking SQ, pretty good experience just that I was kinda in a bad mood because the meal that I wanted had finished before my turn. But the air steward was so good, went to the extreme of making sure that there's something for me, finding food for me and such! :) but quite funny, end up I decided on cup noodles ha ha ha
so it was around 6.5hrs flight, watched some movie, take a short nap and tadahhhhh we reached!
and I really hate it when my skin start to peel like mad and swollen like some pig whenever I take plane. I don't know how to counter this problem and for the rest of the day, my face was in the shittest situation ):
After collected our luggages, bought our travel card(?) and we made our way to hotel! so glad that it is just one straight line to our hotel without having to transfer lines and it was only 40 mins ride.
10 mins walk to our hotel and the staff was so kind to email me the way of walking to their hotel beforehand. Anyway our hotel is Park Avenue Guesthouse and it is located at Hongik University Station. Best location ever I swear! I would definitely choose this hotel again if I visit Korea again! Their service was great and the staff know how to speak english.
Check in, settled some stuff and we went downstair to meet JJ's friend which he know from his Europe trip 2 months back. He was so sweet to travel all the way to Seoul and came all the way to our Guesthouse downstair and meet us!
He bought us to the main Hongdae area and then to this restaurant for dinner and some drinking session! :) I don't know what's restaurant name and omg the food taste so gooooooooooooood (after that night, all the food doesn't taste that good to me for the next 7 days.. )
this is some spicy chicken with cheese. very big portion and I guess enough for 2-3 person.
and this this this. Why Singapore doesn't sell this! I miss it so damn much. I don't know what is it called in Korea but it mean "fist rice" in english. Shape up like a Fist. SO FREAKING GOOOOOD!
and also ordered some soju and beer! And he was teaching us all the way of how korea guys drink! pretty interesting we stayed there till around 9pm? Thanks so much for the treat! I guess it cost kinda expensive): Went to buy some mask and we head back to the hotel. Anyway it was raining damn heavily that I was forced to buy an umbrella urgently which I later realised I bought it at a double price. oh well ):
Day 2, 22 August
Woke up at around 9am plus, prepared and met his friend again at Hongik station! He's gonna bring us around for the whole day!
He bought us to this stall for breakfast, claiming they serve very delicious topokki and indeed it was true! I never taste a better topokki at other places anymore ):

then we head to the Trick Eye Museum which is also located at Hongdae. :D
his friend didn't follow us in because he said it was meant for couple ): feel so bad for leaving him outside. So anyway, we didn't have much shot taken together because it was quite awkward to ask stranger to take for us while we posting all those funny poses haha!

actually, it wasn't that fun ): most of the times we just scan through it and take photo for the sake of taking ha ha
anyway, there's also this ice sculpture museum beside it and we went for it. In for only less than 5 mins because it was toooooo cold! below 5 degree! and there wasn't any jacket provided ):

there's also this love museum one level down. Didnt go in but we took photo with this outside the entrance! our signature pose ha ha ha
bought some coffee and we left the place!
The idea is, you walk around the market and find some good deals, choose your seafood and they will bring to a restaurant in charge to cook and serve you the food! Actually I didn't know did we have a good deal because it was JJ friend doing all the talking and buying! thanks so much! If without him, I guess we would be probably in lost.
It was one of my dream to eat in this kind of places! so korea style hahaha
the sashimi and seafooood! and no word can express how good it is!
then they took the remaining seafood and make it in a hot spicy soup pot!
and again, his friend treated us again! so thankful ;) anyway, I lost my travel card at I dont know where :( I regret that I top up so much money inside and now I had to buy and top up again sigh.
so yea, next stop myeondong! and we just can't stop eating all the street food!
explore a few places and around evening time, his friend left! really appreciated for the past two days and treating us all the food! hopefully he would visit singapore soon and it will be our turn to bring him around! :)
so well, with just boyfriend and me, my true-self is out! shoppppppping time! :D 3 hours of shopping for comestic and skin care! faceshop, innisfree, etude house, natural republic.. and just all the cosmetic shop you can think of! probably went to every one of them.. too exaggerated that till the end of the day, I got a shock!
and that's my poor boy carrying all my stuff! ha ha ha thanks baby for being so sweet and patient!
and I finally stop when I emptied boyfriend wallet! No, I didn't spend his money, don't be mistaken ha ha
Went back to hotel to put our stuff and went to this shop nearby our hotel. you know something like those ajumma stall to settle our dinner!
something cheap and simple, korea ramen aka maggie mee! even such simple meal make us so happy! :D
